It's Almost Break!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what would be nice? If we got all the time between the start of Thanksgiving Break and the end of Christmas Break off from school. I am so tired of getting up early and I wish that we would just have a snow day so that I could sleep in, but so far that hasn't happened. My brother spent all day Sunday throwing ice cubes into the yard and the road, trying to make the ground colder. I told him that it wouldn't make any difference. Then when my friend and her brother were over at our house, my brother was telling her brother that he also flushed ice cubes down the toilet to make the rivers and ground water colder (eventually). My friend's brother also told Joe that the tiny percentage of a degree colder was completely pointless. That's what I had tried to tell him. My brother is twelve, so he should know better.

A few days ago, two of my friends and I went to see the movie Bolt. We were laughing because everybody else our age in the theater was going to see the movie Twilight. But Bolt was really a cute movie. Then later, my brother looked it up on the internet for us and Bolt actually had much better reviews, so we laughed again.

Twelve school days until Christmas Break, I can't wait! I am going to try to see all of my friends to give them their Christmas presents, but last year we didn't manage to all get together until New Years. We slept over at one of my friend's houses in her basement, which was cool because it is fully furnished like an apartment. The floor was a mess because we spilled fake champagne and got ribbons from those party cracker things all over. We also had silly string which got all over us. It was so much fun.

Thanksgiving

Oh my god I am so glad it's Thanksgiving Break. I can't believe we have t take current events notes the whole time. Thanksgiving Dinner is so boring at my house. There are only about seven people including me, my brother, my mom, my dad and three grandparents. For some reason, our cousins absolutely refuse to do holidays with the rest of the family, but two of my grandparents will be stopping by their house anyway, so we don't even get them for the whole time. I wonder if the will bring their two dogs, Emma and Trevor. Trevor is a Doberman, and we don't know what Emma is but she's also really big. They make such a disturbance when they come to my house but at least they don't scare my dog Abbey. She is much smaller than they are. I really don't have plans for this break, mostly I will just relax and play with my dog or do things with my friends. Oh, and I am also staying at my grandparent's for the next few days so my mom can clean for Thanksgiving. I never have understood why she thinks she needs to clean the whole house just for my grandparents. They don't clean when we are coming over. At least she isn't making my brother and me help, and I don't have to clean my room. You know what would be really cool? If we had off all the time between Thanksgiving and New Years. At least as long as we didn't have to have a shorter summer for it. Summer is about the right length right now. I wish we would get some snow. Some people hate snow, but I figure, if it has to be cold anyway, it might as well snow and not be all gray and brown and dead outside.

I still have no idea how to post a picture, even though someone tried to show me. So I need a link, so I'm just putting this.

The school says it's not a good website for research but really it is.

If your bored this website is kind of interesting. It's about how you could have spent the money we're using for the Iraq war.

Snow Day? Not.

We absolutely should have had a snow day today. Well actually an ice day but that's not what you call it. I didn't ride the bus today and coming to school we were going like fifteen miles per hour on Six Mile. A car spun out in front of us and another almost hit it. Then I had to get out and walk because that was actually faster. I ran into my friend crossing the street and we almost slipped on the ice. The roads were so bad this morning that it was not safe at all. They should have closed school.

Last night I actually thought they were going to. My friend called me on the phone and told me to do all the stuff like wearing your pajamas inside out and taping a penny to the window to cause a snow day. My brother thought that we would have one too. I told him that there was no way that we would have enough snow, but he should hope that all of the slush on the street froze. I felt kind of bad hoping for this because it's kind of dangerous and there could be accidents, but of course that could happen anyway. My friend came over for a while, and when my brother and I walked her home we all got into a big snowball fight with her brother. We were running around the field at like ten o'clock at night when her parents came out on her porch and yelled at us. It was so much fun.

I was so tired this morning I didn't want to get up for anything. I just wanted to stay home and play with my dog Abbey in the snow, which she loves.

I am so tired I am about to fall asleep. I don't get it, I went to bed at ten and that's really early for me. I'm so glad that it's the weekend, but I have a lot to do. I've got something like four tests to make up Monday, a whole bunch of homework and I need to go shopping. I need a dress for a bar mitzvah that will be my cultural event. I don't even know the kid's name. I probably should find that out.

Spirit Week

It's Spirit Week!!! Actually that's not that exciting, but I did do some of the spirit days. Monday was Red, White and Blue Day, and I wore a red shirt, a white sweater and blue pants. I didn't do anything on Tuesday because I didn't like Wacky Wednesday and I don't like Tacky Tuesday any better. My Spanish teacher Ms. Wylie tried to be tacky, but it didn't really work.

On Wednesday, it was camo day so I wore a camo patterned bandanna in my hair. I had tried to make a T-shirt the night before, but the colors had run and I couldn't wear it. One of my friends had on all green, and she had a bendy flower and a tiger stuffed animal in her purse! It was so cute. Today, Thursday, is career day, which I'm not doing. I wanted to be a vet and have a beanie baby hanging out of my lab coat pocket, but I didn't have time to get it together. Ms. Wylie was a nun, which was really funny. She would not make a good nun.

Tomorrow will be Spartan Spirit day. I am wearing my Stevenson sweatshirt, blue pants and a white cami that will show at the bottom of the sweat shirt. I think that the pep rally will be really fun, but probably really cold. I'm going to wear lots of layers. Even if it is cold, it will be better than normal 6th hour biology.

Later Friday evening I'm going to the homecoming game. My friends Marissa and Amara will be cheering for the 1st half of the game, and then they can come up to sit with me. My other friend Alex is in the band. I hope we win. It would be pretty pathetic to lose our homecoming game. I'm not going to the dance the following evening, but some of my friends are. Anyway, Go Spartans!

This morning my dog Abbey woke me up barking. She thinks that everything she can see out our front window is her territory and that nobody besides us has the right to be there. She is so funny because she is kind of small but she thinks that she is so big and fierce. I tell her that she is the fiercest twenty pound fluff ball in the world.

Yesterday my dad shaved her so her hair is about an inch long. She does not appreciate the shaver thing. I think the sound scares her. As soon as the sound starts she is out of there.
I was talking to a senior on my bus about events coming up. It sounds like there's this big pep rally and some competition between the grades. I don't know what it is yet but it sounds fun. Maybe I'll ask my friend's brother what it is.

Oh my God our Bus Driver is Awful

We just had a substitute bus driver who was completely terrible. I'm the last stop in the morning, but when the bus pulled away we turned the wrong way. Apparently, our driver had missed a stop and we were going back. The kids wouldn't even have still been there if somebody hadn't called one of them from the bus. As we drove to school, some kid was making up a story out loud about how our bus driver must be drunk and we were going to end up in a police chase. It was hilarious and everyone was laughing. That afternoon, I almost missed the bus because I couldn't even find it. It was supposed to be in the outside lane, but instead it was on the inside. Because of that, we had to turn the wrong way and take the long way home. People were actually calling from cell phones to say they would be late. And on the way out of school, we ran up on the curb twice. I hope our normal bus driver comes back soon.

Waking up for school

I have to get up at 5:30 every morning for school. Most of my Spanish class gets up before six too. Profe Wylie couldn't believe that we all wake up so early but my bus comes at 6:50. I couldn't believe it when one junior said that she doesn't get out of bed until seven. I would be so late if I tried that.
